Serve The Bay – Boys & Girls Club Santa Cruz

servethebay13

October 12th is a Santa Cruz event called Serve The Bay.

It’s a day that a large number of church communities in Santa Cruz get together to help out our community.
Missio Dei community loves to jump in on this day of service especially for the opportunity to partner with other communities of faith in Santa Cruz and work together.  It’s also an opportunity to inspire and motivate people to get to know some organizations in the neighborhood where they can get involved helping out all year long.

This year we get to organize a project working with the Boys & Girls Club in downtown Santa Cruz.
What we’ll be doing: Painting, pressure washing parts of the building, cleaning areas of the club, dejunking/dump runs.
What time: 10am-3pm.  Lunch will be provided by Missio Dei Community for volunteers.  Probably pizza, so if you don’t like that, you may wanna bring something along.

We have several churches helping with the project (Missio Dei Community, Santa Cruz Bible Church/Veritas, Twin Lakes Church, Trinity Covenant) as well as some friends who aren’t part of a church and want to join us in blessing the community.

Many hands make light work and there’s plenty to do so we’d LOVE you to join us.
Please fill out the info below to jump on our mailing list where we’ll send out info.
We promise we won’t use your email address to send you anything else or share your info with anyone.
Also, feel free to leave any comments or questions below.
See you on October 12th!
