Missio Dei Community

The Universal Christ

Join us as we use Richard Rohr’s book, The Universal Christ, as a resource for practice and discussion. Drawing on scripture, history, and spiritual practice, Richard Rohr offers a transformative view of Jesus Christ as God’s constant, unfolding work in the world. “God loves things by becoming them.” Jesus’s life declares that humanity has never been separate from God. When we embrace this fundamental truth, faith becomes less about proving Jesus was God and more about learning to recognize the divine presence all around us and in everyone we meet.
We’ll explore what it means that Jesus was called “Christ,” and how this forgotten truth can restore hope and meaning to our world.

Reading is strongly encouraged but not required. We always have something to snack on and we hang out and enjoy being together. We typically have some centering prayer or practice, conversation, and share some bread and wine/juice. There’s typically childcare, too.
ALL are welcome to join us.

If you have any questions, or maybe you wanna learn more about Missio Dei Community before checking us out, don’t hesitate to email us. Bobby would love to meet you for a coffee or a beer and share more about our faith family.
Grace and peace.
