As Missio Dei Community, we gather once a month to connect with each other and with God.
We call it The Hub.
This month we’re having an open mic night around the theme of Freedom.
What does that mean? Â We want you to bring a song, original or cover, a poem, a short story, an art piece with a story, a monologue, anything you can share that somehow represents or makes you think of freedom. Â We’ll have a guitar, a piano, and percussion available at the very least. Feel free to bring anything you wanna.
We’ll some time sharing art, music, and stories. Â That will be followed up some thoughts on and discussion about the Christian practice of communion, partaking in the practice together for those who want to, and a little closing music.
Not interested in getting in front of people? No worries. Â We’d love a few people to bring a healthy snack or somethin to share and we’ll go out to eat together for those who wanna join us afterward.
And everyone’s welcome to come hang out and just listen and enjoy everyone’s sharing.
Here’s how you could help.
Email bobby@missiodeisantacruz.com to sign up for 5-10 minutes of time or to let us know what you can bring to gnaw on.
You can sign up there, but we only have so much time as we don’t like to go over an hour and 15 to a half, so it would help to know as much as possible ahead of time.
We’re looking forward to an afternoon/evening of good art, hang time, and discussion.
